NASIEC PRESENTS CERTIFICATES TO NEWLY ELECTED COUNCIL CHAIRMAN                                                                                              04-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                              The nassarawasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission NASIEC has presented certificates of Return to the 13 newly elected chairmen of local government areas.

NASIEC Chairman, Ayuba Usman Wandai presented the certificates at the headquarters of the commission in lafia the state capital.

According to Wandai, the event signified the successful conclusion of an electoral process that was marked by transparency, credibility, and true expression of the people’s will.

The NASIEC Boss used the opportunity to appreciate all stakeholders who played key roles in the success of the election, including security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace, traditional rulers for their role in fostering unity and the Media for unbiased reportage and adequate dissemination of vital information to the citizens.

He equally appreciated members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council’s IPAC constructive engagement and active participation of political parties, which he said contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Usman Wanda specifically mentioned the support and leadership provided by Governor Abdullahi Sule and members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, towards the successful conduct of the council polls.
