KANO ASSEMBLY DENIES RIFT BETWEEN GOVERNOR ABBA YUSUF AND SENATOR KWANKWASO                                                                                                                               06-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The majority leader of the Kano State House of Assembly, Lawan Hussaini Dalachas dismissed rumors of a rift between Governor Abba Yusuf and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiya Movement.

According to Dala, the relationship between the two is a father-son one, and any alleged discord is merely fabricated by external forces seeking to disrupt the state’s harmony.

Dala emphasized that the connection between Governor Yusuf and Senator Kwankwaso remains cordial, contrary to speculation.

He also assured that the State Assembly and Governor Yusuf enjoy a positive working relationship, unaffected by malicious rumors.

It’s worth noting that Governor Abba Yusuf has a history with Senator Kwankwaso, having served as his personal assistant during Kwankwaso’s governorship and later as Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport.

This close relationship likely contributes to Dala’s confidence in dismissing the rumored rift.

The Kwankwasiya Movement, led by Senator Kwankwaso, is a significant force within the ruling New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, making their relationship crucial to the state’s political landscape.
