NEWLY-APPOINTED MINISTER OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT, DR MUHAMMADU DINGYADI RESUMES OFFICE                                                                                                    05-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                          The newly appointed Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Muhammadu Dingyadi says he will maintain harmonious relationships with the private sector, relevant unions in the labour sector.

Addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja after his assumption of office, Dr Dingyadi expressed commitment to reposition the sector and promote empowerment opportunities.

The Minister of Labour and Employment promised to foster employee relations and maintain healthy relationships with labour unions.

Dr Dingyadi gave assurance that under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, the ministry would carry along all labour organizations in the interest of peace and development.

Dr Muhammadu Dingyadi was the former Minister of Police Affairs appointed on August 19, 2019 by President Muhammed Buhari.

In the same vein, the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Dr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha said the mandate of the ministry covers employment generation, women empowerment and industrial relations.

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment develops and promotes productive employment programmes, skills acquisition and reward excellence.
