EXCITEMENT AS PARENTS OF RELEASED UNDERAGE PROTESTERS VISIT FACILITY                                                                                 07-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   Some parents of the released August 1st protesters in Kano state have expressed happiness over the release and return of their children back to the state.

A visit to Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Ginginyu, where the young ones are kept for medical examination and recuperation, revealed a number of parents came visiting despite being informed of the Friday set day for visiting.

One of the parents came with a basket containing two food warmers, among other things, and claimed it was her son’s favourite (Danwake), but unfortunately for her, the security mounted at the entrance didn’t allow her access to the facility nor help deliver the delicacy to him.

Despite not having access to her son, Rabi Usman expressed happiness over the return of her son, whom she hadn’t seen for over three months.

She said her family’s effort to secure the release of her 23-year-old son yielded no results but in God’s infinite mercy, he has been returned.

Another parent, Amina Isa, who also was thankful to God for the release of her son, praised the state governor and other stakeholders for their various contributions.

“Since a day before yesterday that we were informed by our representative of the return of the kids, from that day till today, I’m full of excitement till now. Alhamdullah!.

“We are here to see them but we were told till Friday before we will be able to see them. Now I’m full of happiness and I have peace,” she added.

Hajiya Isa however prayed for the progress of the state, the governor among others who facilitated the release of the children.

Meanwhile, the Kano state governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, while accompanying them to their respective wards, cautioned them against engaging on any kind of protest but be advocates of peace.
