POLICE APPREHENDS NOTORIOUS SUSPECTED THUGS, RECOVER WEAPONS IN KANO                                                                                                                                              15-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                               The Kano State Police Command has released a comprehensive report detailing its achievements in combating crime within the state. Between October 26 and November 14, 2024, the command successfully apprehended numerous suspects and recovered various exhibits.

The public relations officer of the Command SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa Disclosed this while parading the suspects and the recovered items at the police headquarters Bompai, Kano.

He said the command was able to Arrest 3 notorious thugs for attacking a resident in Chiranchi Quarters, while Armed Robbers Gang were arrested with Dangerous weapons.

He noted that 4 drug dealers were also arrested and recovery of Indian hemp.

Other Arrest recorded were suspected kidnappers, motorcycle thieves, and vandalism suspects, while stolen goods were also recovered among them includes mobile phones, motorcycles, and weapons, adding that 29 suspected thugs were also arrested in intelligence-led raids

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa maintained that the names of those arrested were Mukhtar Hassan, 30, for armed robbery, Ibrahim Ismail, 23, for possession of a sharp knife, Abubakar Umar, 20, for motorcycle theft and Haruna Abdulsalam and Mandi Snau, for kidnapping.

“The items recovered includes 1 AK-47 rifle, 1 locally made AK-47 rifle, and 2 locally made guns, 75 wraps of Indian hemp, 307 Pregabalin drugs, and other illicit substances,10 sliding windows, 7 mobile phones, and 2 motorcycles.
