PRESIDENT TINUBU CONFERS NIGERIA’S HIGHEST HONOUR, GCON, ON THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA, NARENDRA MODI                                                                              17-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   President Bola Tinubu has conferred Nigeria’s highest honour, Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, GCON, on the visiting Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

At the event in Abuja, the President said the conferment of the honour was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the two countries further.

President Tinubu said he was confident that his discussions with Prime Minister would enhance Nigeria-India relations on the basis of mutual respect and shared mission.

Prime Minister Modi said he had a very productive discussion with President Tinubu on the need to add momentum to the strategic partnership of the two countries.

He said there was immense scope for ties between them to flourish even further in defence, energy, technology, trade, health, and education.
