FG GIVES MARCHING ORDER TO ARMED FORCES TO FLUSH OUT LAKURAWA TERRORISTS GROUP IN THE COUNTRY                                                                                     20-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  Federal government says it has provided latest version of attack aircraft and helicopters to Nigerian Airforce to crush Lakurawa and other terrorist groups in the North West.

Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar disclosed this after inspecting new Nigerian Airforce facility provided by Sokoto state government.

The minister said FG had installed new platform and state of the art fighters jets and helicopters in katsina state in a bid to ending the threat of Lakurawa and the incessant bandits attacks bedeveling the northern part of the country.

He said the figthter jets and the helicopters were stationed at the sector two command of the operation FANSAN YAMMA in katsina state.

Muhammad Badaru stressed that he was in sokoto to inspect airforce facility that was built by sokoto state government at the Sultan Abubakar Airport sokoto state.

He noted that the new facility in sokoto will serves as an annex of the sector two of the operation FANSAN YAMMA.

According to him, the recent move by the federal government would see the end of insurgency in the North West that had shortchanged the socio-security and economic development in the region.

Africa247 correspondent in Sokoto reports that the Minister was in company of the chief of Air staff, air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar and acting eight Division General officer Commanding, Brigadier general Ibikunle Ajose among others.
