HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HAILS GOVERNOR BAGO FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE                                                                                                                             27-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                    The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, has described the performance of Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago as a pride and worthy Ambassador of the Parliament.
The Speaker’s commendation of Governor Bago followed remarks on the governor’s achievements, particularly in the area of agricultural revolution, infrastructural development, and religious tolerance by a member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Mr. Babajimi Benson.
Mr. Benson during matters of personal explanation during the Plenary pointed out that the efforts by governor Bago will not only benefited Niger State but also have the potential to impact the entire country and West Africa at large.
The Lagos State Federal lawmaker who expressed admiration for the government of Niger State’s giant strides in ensuring that the State can feed itself and Nigeria in a few years to come, called on other States to emulate Niger State government.
Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State was a member of the 7th, 8th, and 9th House of Representatives before he was elected as governor in 2023.
