NEPZA GENERATES OVER N1.8 BILLION NAIRA IN ELEVEN MONTHS – MD                                                                                           27-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Nigerian Export Promotion Zone Authority says it has generated the sum of over one point eight Billion Naira as revenue from January 2024 to date.

The Managing Director of the Agency Alhaji Mu’azu Musa Sahabi disclosed this during an investors – stakeholders forum held at the agency in Kano.

He said the objectives of the stakeholders meeting was to brainstorm on how to move the free trade zone forward.

The Direction General noted that the meeting would fine tune modalities and ideas with the aim collaborating efforts together to achieve the stated objectives.

” We want investors to have clear understanding of the free trade zone,because most investors though thar the free trade zone is a terminal,we want them to understand that this is an industrial area,we want them to come and establish enterprise so that our youths will be employed”

Alhaji Mu’azu Musa Sahabi added that the agency for the first time in history has generated over one point eight Billion Naira as revenue in the last Eleven Months.

Mr Phrabu Dorai an agro export Marchant and Alhaji adulrasheed Nasidi a producer of various export materials applauded the commitment of NEPZA in providing enabling environment for investors, stressing that they’ve provided over three thousand jobs.

The meeting was attended by investors, industrialist, security and other stakeholders.
