POLICE OPERATIVES ATTACHED TO ENUGU UKWU, NJIKOKA LGA OF ANAMBRA STATE HAVE ARRESTED TWO SUSPECTED CULTISTS                                                                     09-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 Police Operatives attached to Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugu Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State have arrested two suspected cultists.

The Operatives arrested the suspects when they raided an identified black spot in Umunaga village in Awka South local government area of the state, following a credible intelligence.

The Police Public Relations officer in the state, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga in a release, gave the names of the suspects as,one Okechukwu Chinwuko,aged twenty seven from Umunaga Village and Chinedu Ezenwa,aged twenty two from Umuneri Village .

He explained that some incriminating objects were recovered from them which included, one Pump action gun, four live cartridges, Cutlass, Criminal Charms and substances suspected to be hard drugs.

Mr Ikenga said, the Operatives also rescued two female victims who the suspects had forcefully abused sexually.

According to him, the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation on their way of operation.

In a related development ,Mr Ikenga said, Police Operatives in Igbo-Ukwu Divisional Police Headquaters, had recovered one white Peugeot J5 Boxer bus with registration number AKL 896 XB, a vandalised Lister electricity generator, a roller, pipes, an Iron bar, One big Plier, Screwdriver, a big metal Cutter and a pair of black canvas from some economic saboteurs in the state.

The Image Maker pointed out that the hoodlums were vandalizing a Lister Model Electricity Generator in Igboukwu and on sighting the Police team, took to their heels and fled the scene.

Mr Ikenga said,efforts were on to arrest the fleeing criminals, while the Police Command called on anyone especially residents of the area to assist the Police with useful information in this regard.
