10 YEARS AFTER RESIDENTS BREATH SIGH OF RESPITE AS SPEAKER INSPECTS CONSTRUCTION OF COLLAPSE BRIDGE                                                                                  14-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                      Residents of Dutsen Aba community in Zaria Local Government area of Kaduna State, breath sigh of respite as the Speaker House of Representatives Dr. Tajudeen Abbas inspected the ongoing construction of a bridge that collapsed since 2014 and has cut off the community from Zaria town since the collapse.
The residents of Dutsen Aba were seen jubilating, chanting songs of praises for the Speaker when he visited the cite of the ongoing construction of collapse bridge.
The Bridge which was said to have collapsed since 2014 has hindered vehicular movement of goods and services to Zaria town particularly during the rainy season, there by subjecting the people of the community to untold hardship.
Dr Abbas before inspecting the ongoing construction of the collapsed bridge, the Speaker earlier inspected various projects being executed by him in his Zaria Federal Constituency.
They include Ongoing construction and renovation of 116 Schools under his Constituency, construction of Flyover and dualisation of Agoro road.
Other Projects inspected by the Speaker include Construction of Amaru Market, construction of Kofar Doka flyover and roundabout, Construction of Sports Complex at Zaria City and other township roads in Zaria town.
Speaking with Journalists after inspection of various projects, Dr. Abbas, explained that the ongoing projects are all expected to be completed before December 2025.
Dr. Tajudeen while emphasizing that the ongoing projects are expected to be completed within a stipulated timeframe, said one hundred percent of the funds required for the projects have been released.
