By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani says the facilitation of Projects that worth over 80 billion Naira to Zaria town by the Speaker, House of Representatives Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, would contribute significantly to the Socio-economic development of the Area and the Northern Region in General.

Governor Sani gave the commendation in Zaria at the commencment of the construction of a campus of the National Open University, Federal College of Education, Federal College of Nursing and the College of Legal Studies, all facilitated by the Speaker.
He said the four tertiary institutions would improve quality of learning and research work in the States of Northern region.
The Kaduna State governor who described the Speaker as an exceptional leader dedicated to the growth and progress of Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole, noted that the Interventions would create opportunities for nation’s teeming citizens.

The Speaker of House of Representatives Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, in a remark explained that this was the first time that four tertiary institutions will commence work simultaneously in one city.
Dr. Abbas said the idea for the conceptualisation of the projects was because Zaria is known to be the centre of learning right from the ancient times.
