OFFICIAL ACTIVITIES RESUME IN ANAMBRA STATE AFTER THE CHRISTMASS AND BOXING DAY CELEBRARIONS                                                                                                                 27-12-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 Visits to some offices within Awka shows that some offices were open while some remained closed.

Commercial banks along Regina Caeli Junction, Awka were all opened to customers even though they were limiting cash withdrawal to twenty thousand naira and below.

At the state secretariat, few workers were seen present while most offices did not open at all.

Security personnel resumed duty at the Anambra state House of Assembly while only few staff resumed.

In an interaction with some of the staff, they noted that many who did not come to work may have considered transport fare which is on the increase due to the yuletide.

Others told our Correspondent that it was not easy to resume work just for one day knowing that it’s already weekend.
