PRESIDENT TINUBU SAYS NIGERIANS MUST BE BETTER CITIZENS AND UNCOMPROMISING IN THEIR DEVOTION AND ALLEGIANCE TO ATTAIN GREATER HEIGHTS NIGERIANS 01-02-25
By Sadiq Aminu President Bola Tinubu says for Nigeria to achieve her goals and objectives, Nigerians must become better citizens and uncompromising in their devotion and allegiance to the country.
He said citizens’ moral rectitude and faith in the country were fundamental to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasising that this year, the government will commit to promoting adherence to ethical principles, shared values, and beliefs under the National Identity Project.
The President said he would unveil the National Values Charter, already approved by the Federal Executive Council, in the first quarter of this year, launch an ambitious national orientation campaign that would foster patriotism and love for the country to inspire citizens to rally together.
He explained that the Charter would promote mutual commitments between the government and citizens and foster trust and co-operation among the country’s diverse population and between the government and the citizens.
President Tinubu said as far-reaching and foundational as his reforms were, they could produce the desired outcomes only through shared common values and identities as well as unconditional love for Nigeria.
He said the Youth Confab would begin in the first quarter of this year, adding that it is a testament to the administration’s commitment to youth inclusiveness and investment as nation-builders.
