PDP TO REVIEW SECURITY ARCHITECTURE FOLLOWING THE ASSAULT ON THE SUN NEWSPAPERS’S REPORTER MR. NDUBUISI ORJI, AT IT’S HEADQUARTERS IN ABUJA                                                                          08-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  Following the assault on a reporter with the Sun newspapers, Mr. Ndubuisi Orji, at the Peoples Democratic Party headquarters in Abuja , the leadership of the party has promised to review its security architecture to prevent further breaches.

The party has also vowed to investigate the matter and ensure that the staff who allegedly assualted the journalist, one Mr. Emmanuel Okoronkwo is brought to book in line with the regulations of the party.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Debo Ologunagba who stated this at an intercative forum with journalists covering the party, emphasized that the PDP would never condone brigandage and thuggery, insisting that the party remained safe for journalists to operate.

On the contentious issue of the position of the National Secretary, Mr. Ologunagba explained that the PDP would ensure full compliance with the ruling of the court of appeal which affirmed Mr. Ude Okoye the authentic officer.

A reporter with the Sun Newspapers Mr. Ndubuisi Orji was phisically assualted by a staff of the party over the weekend amidst a leadership tussle between those believed to be loyal to a claimant to the post of National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and and those supporting Mr. Ude Okoye.
