ONDO ELECTORAL BODY , ODIEC CONFIRMS PDP WITHDRAWAL FROM COUNCILS POLL                                                                       17-01-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission, ODIEC, has confirmed PDP withdrawal from the councils election scheduled to hold on Saturday.

ODIEC Chairman , Dr Joseph Aremo gave the confirmation while conducting newsmen and stakeholders round the sensitive materials for the election.

He however said the withdrawal of the PDP would not in anyway disrupt the conduct of the election as all arrangements had been concluded for a hitch-free election.

The ODIEC chairman expressed disappointment at the development saying the PDP had participated in every stage of the electoral process without raising any objections whatsoever.

Dr Aremo explained that sensitive materials would be distributed in promptly.

Africa247  gathered that with the PDP withdrawal from the election , twelve political parties are now participating in the election.
