ONDO STATE POLICE COMMAND INVESTIGATES REPORTS OF KIDNAP OF SOME 10 TRAVELLERS ALONG OWO-IPELE-BENIN HIGHWAY IN THE STATE                                                                                                            04-02-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Ondo State Police command is investigating the reported kidnap of some ten travellers along the Owo-Ipele-Benin Highway in the State.

The command’s PPRO , Mrs Funmi Odunlami-Omisanya however confirmed that the number of the victims were seven.

The PPRO gave an assurance that updates would be provided as they emerge.

Africa247 gathered that the travellers were ambushed by the gunmen and led to the forest leaving the commercial vehicle in which they were traveling.

Other motorists who discovered the deserted vehicle thereafter alerted the authorities.

There were information that the kidnappers had contacted families demanding ransom for their release.
