SUSPECTED BANDITS KILL 1, 6 HOSPITALISED IN KEBBI STATE                                                                                                                              07-02-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   Suspected Lakurawa terrorists have attacked Gulma Village of Argungu local government area of Kebbi State, killed one person and 6 sustained injuries.

This was confirmed by the Chairman of Argungu local government, Aliyu Sani Gulma, to Africa247 in a telephone interview on Friday morning.

The Council Chairman stated that, the terrorists attacked the Village around 11.00pm on Thursday while residents of the village were sleeping.

He said, during the attack, they shoot seven people and out of them, one died and six others sustained serious injuries and four have been admitted at the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi while the remaining two were receiving treatment in their houses in the village.

The Chairman however said, he reported the incident to the security commands for necessary action and troops were already sent to the area for protection of people and properties in the village.

The Kebbi State Police Command image maker, SP Nafi’u Abubakar, confirmed the incident and said the command has already dispatched mobile policemen to the area.
