By Sadiq Aminu                                                   The Commissioner of police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Mr. Tunji Daisy has appealed to residents of the FCT to be vigilant and not hesitate to report any suspicious activities around them to law enforcement agencies.

Mr. Disu gave the appeal against the backdrop of a case of 23 yr old Illiyasu Mohammed who was arrested for allegedly killing his friend in a gruesome manner.
The suspect Mohammed from Dakwa Municipal Area council, Abuja was said to have brutally murdered his friend, Safillah Muhammad after luring him to his house.

FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh stated that after the suspect lured him to his house, he served him food but while Safillah was eating the suspect attacked him with Cutlass, inflicting multiple wounds on his head and body.
She said the police found the victim unconscious in a pool of blood and quickly rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“Further inquiries revealed that the suspect Mohammed was an ex convict, who later confessed to the murder and his involvement in a criminal syndicate led by one Hassan who is now at large. The gang is known for targeting motorcyclists.

In the statement, she said the police are actively pursuing other members of the gang while the suspect in police custody will be made to face justice.
