CP Shetima Presents Cheques to Bereaved and Injured Families

Cheques worth over twenty-nine million naira have been presented to seven bereaved and injured families by the Nasarawa State Police Commissioner CP Shettima Jairo to cushion the effect of their loss.

A statement by the Police command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police, SP Rahman Nansel shows that the state commissioner of police presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

The statement explains that the initiative, undertaken by the Inspector-General of Police Group Personal Accident, Group Life Assurance, and IGP Family Welfare Program, is designed to enhance the living standards of families who have suffered loss or injury in the line of duty.

The statement expresses heartfelt sympathy for the beneficiaries and lauds the Inspector-General for his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service.
It encourages the recipients to invest the funds in profitable ventures that will secure the future of their families.

A total of twenty‐nine million, six hundred and sixty‐three thousand, five hundred and three naira, and twenty-four kobo was presented to the seven benefitting families of police operatives who either lost their lives in active service or sustained injuries while performing their duties.
