KANO POLICE RECOVER SUSPECTED STOLEN VEHICLE, COMMENDS GOOD SAMARITAN                                                                                                               18-03-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Kano State Police Command has announced the successful recovery of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, a dark blue Volkswagen Golf 3, abandoned by suspected criminals in Rijiyar Lemo Quarters, Kano, on March 7, 2025.

The public relations officer of the command SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa disclosed this to journalist in Kano.

He said the recovery was made possible by a timely report from a Good Samaritan, who alerted the police to the abandoned vehicle.

“A team of detectives was promptly dispatched to the scene, where they located and recovered the vehicle.”

SP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa noted that the Kano State Police Command has commended the Good Samaritan for his quick action, which played a vital role in the successful recovery.

He said the Command encourages residents to continue reporting suspicious activities to enhance community safety.

“An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the vehicle’s abandonment and to identify the suspects involved.”

The police urge anyone whose vehicle has been stolen or who can identify the recovered vehicle as their own to come forward with proof of ownership.

This development is part of the Kano State Police Command’s efforts to ensure the safety and security of all residents in the state.
