GOVERNOR CHUCKWUMA SOLUDO COMMISSIONS 10.8 KM OF NKWO ORAIFITE TO NKWO NNEWI ROAD, ALSO KNOWN AS AGBA UZO INO ROAD                                                                         20-03-25

By Sadiq Aminu.                                                     Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commissioned 10.8 kilometers of Nkwo Oraifite to Nkwo Nnewi Road, also known as Agba Ụzọ Ịnọ.

The road is said to connect Owerri- Onitsha expressway through Nkwo Oraifite to Nnewi.

Other roads commissioned had since been put to use, and they included the Nza Ozubulu-Umunuko Ukpor Road, Ozubulu-Ihembosi-Ukpor Road, Ozubulu-Atani road with bridges, and the dualization of the Nnewi-Ozubulu-Okija road with bridges as well as Orafite Civic Center Nkwoedo -John Aghaonu – Akwukwu road among others.

Governor Soludo, who decried the deplorable conditions of the roads, described the roads as strategic, saying that upon completion, they would boost economic activities in the area and permanently address the flood and erosion ravaging the areas.

He tasked the contractors handling the project to deliver a quality job in record time.

For his part, the Commissioner for Works, Mr Ifeanyi Okoma, revealed that the Oraifite Civic Centre road had a major erosion problem, 10 meters wide and 22 meters deep, which has already been tackled.

He recounted how the erosion had displaced members of the community from their ancestral homes before the Governor’s intervention.

Speaking at the Oraifite Civic Centre, a renowned philanthropist, Sir Emeka Offor acknowledged Governor Soludo’s giant strides in the state economy and pledged his support for his administration.

Africa247 Correspondent reports that the Mayor of Ekwusigo local government area, Mr Chimezie Obi and the President General of Oraifite Improvement Union, Mr Vin Dike extolled the Governor for embarking on six strategic road projects in Ekwusigo constituency ,assuring him of their loyalty.
