By Sadiq Aminu                                                      A member representing Gusau Tsafe Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, Kabiru Ahmadu wants the National Assembly to enact laws that will grant Nigerians self defense against all forms of attacks from terrorist groups and other criminal elements.
Contributing to an urgent matter of public importance during the House plenary, Mr. Ahmadu, explained that motions and other resolutions from the National Assembly on Security Matters did not address the security challenges confronting the nation’s security challenges.

He cited the lingering security menace in Zamfara State and other States of the Federation that are yet to be addressed despite several resolutions from the National Assembly.

The lawmaker pointed out that if urgent measures were not taken, innocent citizens would continue to suffer from the activities of terror groups and other criminal elements.
