KNSG APPROVES N2BN FOR COMPENSATION OF KABUGA-DAYI ROAD PROJECTS                                                                                                                      08-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Kano State Government, KNSG says it has approved over two billion naira for payments of compensation to communities affected by the Kabuga to Dayi, federal road project.

The affected communities include Ungoggo, Rimin Gado, Tofa, Kabo, and Gwarzo Local government areas.

The compensation process aims to provide relief and succor to the affected individuals and communities.

Briefing residents of Ungoggo, Tofa, Rimin Gado, Kabo and Gwarzo the state Commissioner for Special duties Alhaji Nasiru Sule Garo explained that the initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to ensuring fair treatment and support for its citizens, particularly those affected By development projects.

Garo clarified that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved and released over two billion naira for the compensation exercise to people from those five local government areas.

The Commissioner urged all eligible individuals who are yet to receive their payments to come forward with relevant documents to the Ministry of Land and Physical Planning for verification and payment of their compensation.

“Adequate measures and strategies have been put in place to ensure a smooth and transparent payment process.”
