KANO STATE POLICE ARRESTS A BROTHER FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING HIS SISTER’S BOYFRIEND                                                                                                13-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       A tragic incident occurred in Kunya Village, Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State, resulting in the death of Sulaiman Musa, 25 years old.

The police public relations officer in Kano SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa disclosed this to journalist in Kano.

He said according to reports, the victim visited his girlfriend, Fiddausi Umar, at her residence, where her brother, Mansur Umar, allegedly hit him with a stick on the head, causing serious injury.

“The incident happened on May 9, 2025, at about 09:30 pm. The victim was rushed to Kunya Cottage Hospital and later referred to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital Kano for further medical attention, where he succumbed to his injuries at 12:50 am on the following day.”

The suspect, Mansur Umar, has been arrested, and investigation is ongoing at the Homicide Section of the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The Kano State Police Command urges the public to exercise self-control and manage anger, as it can lead to committing offenses.

The Command appeals to residents to prioritize peaceful coexistence and report any disputes or issues to the nearest police station for prompt resolution.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has called on the public to continue to report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police Station as the Command remains committed to ensuring public safety and security.
