BANDITS KILLS 15 INJURED 3 IN KEBBI COMMUNITY                                                                                                            19-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Kebbi State Government has expressed sympathy with the people of Waje in Danko Wasagu local government area following a banditry attack that claimed the lives of 15 farmers and injured 3 others.

The State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, conveyed the government’s condolences and announced a donation of N24 million to the families of the deceased and the injured.

He described the gesture as a modest effort by the state government to support the bereaved families and the injured during this challenging period.

Senator Abubakar, assured that the state government would take necessary measures to tackle insecurity, enabling farmers to safely work on their lands.

The Chairman of Danko Wasagu Local Government Area, Alhaji Hussaini Aliyu Bena, confirmed that 15 farmers were killed and 3 others injured during the attack by suspected bandits.

The District Head of Waje, Alhaji Bala Danbaba, while commending the state government for the visit and financial support, stated that Danko Wasagu border with Niger, Zamfara and Sokoto states creates vulnerabilities, appealing for enhanced security to block these entry points.
