KNSG PROVIDES 80 MATTRESSES TO NEW STUDENTS UNDER EXCHANGE PROGRAM                                                                                                                  28-05-25

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       In it’s efforts to create a conducive learning environment the Kano state government KNSG has distributed over 80 Mattresses to fresh students under the northern states exchange program.

The State Commissioner of Education Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, represented by the Director Monitoring and Evaluation Auwal Mustapha Gadon Kaya, stated this while Distributing the Mattresses to Students at Government Secondary School Gwarzo.

He explained that, the provision of the Mattresses was in line with present administration’s commitment of improving teaching and learning atmosphere of the students.

Dr Makoda clarified that the Exchange Students of Government Secondary School Gwarzo recieved 55 Mattresses while those from Government Girls Secondary School Shekara benefitted from 25 pieces.

He disclosed that for more than ten years the Exchange Programme students have not received such gesture despite being one of the program’s guidelines.

“ for the hosting state to furnish the exchange students with mattresses, pillow, bucket, Beds and other essentials that would enable the students live comfortably”

He added that the present administration under Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf would continue to take bold steps of improving the learning environment of the exchange students to achieve the programme’s objectives.

Dr. Ali Makoda commended the effort and good foresight of the state governor in boosting the education sector, stressing that more plans are underway to enhance the quality of education in the state.

The Principal of Government Secondary School Gwarzo Comrade Sani Haladu Gwarzo and his counterpart from Government Girls Secondary School Shekara Amina Yahaya thanked the Governor for reintroducing the gesture.
