By Sadiq Aminu                                                    His eminence the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has called on the Muslims in the country to continue to pray fervently, for peace, unity and development in the country.

The sultan made the call in his Ed-ul-kabir salla message shortly after the Ed-ul-kabir voluntary prayer in Sokoto state.

The Sultan is worried that the country is shackled by incessant insecurity and pervasive corruption, which have undermined the socio-security and economic development of the nation.

He however, appealed to the Federal and state governments to look into the plight of Nigerians with a view to redirecting it policies and programs towards reducing the hardship faced by Nigerians to justified the trust reposed on them.

He argued that unless governments comes up with favourable policies and programs that have direct bearing to the wellbeing of people in the society, the quest for peace and unity might be a mirage, noting that committed government wins the hearts of its citizens .

The Sultan who also appealed to Nigerians to remain law abiding citizens for sustainable peace in the country, congratulated the Muslims for yet another opportunity to warship their creator ALLAH Subhanahu wataala.
