THREE SUSPECTED CATTLE RUSTLERS NABBED BY OPERATION CRUSH IN ABIA……………..

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

A joint security team, Operation Crush, has arrested three suspected cattle rustlers in Ohiya, Umuahia, Abia State.

The suspects, Saidu Ali, Yakubu Mohammed, and Adamu Isa  were caught while trying to steal 6 cows from a herder.

Governor’s Special Adviser on Security, Navy Commander Macdonald Uba (rtd), said the team acted on a tip-off and moved swiftly to stop the crime.

He added that Abia has been facing issues of kidnapping and attacks linked to some herders, especially in Umunneochi, and the government will not tolerate criminal activity.

Leader of the Hausa-Fulani community in Abia, Alhaji Yaro Danladi, condemned the act and urged his people to promote peace.

One suspect confessed to the crime.
