NASARAW APPROVES RECRUITMENT OF 6,200 TEACHERS, ASSURES TRANSPARENCY……….

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the recruitment of 6,200 teachers, 4,700 for primary and 1,500 for secondary schools to boost education quality.

SSA on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, said the process will be transparent and merit-based to build public trust.

He also addressed recent security issues, noting that attacks in Benue forced many to flee to Nasarawa border communities. Some schools in Keana LGA are now housing displaced persons.

Government and security agencies are working to restore peace and return displaced residents so school activities can resume. Relief materials have been sent to affected camps.
