APC TIGHTENS GRIP AS ADC FACES HARSH REALITY IN BY-ELECTIONS………..

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Saturday’s by-elections sent a clear message, the ruling APC still dominates Nigeria’s political space. Out of 16 contested constituencies, APC swept 12 seats, while APGA, PDP, and NNPP picked the remaining few.

The much-talked-about ADC, recently adopted as the coalition platform to challenge APC in 2027, failed to win a single seat, its first real test since opposition leaders rallied behind it.

Despite support from figures like David Mark and Nasir El-Rufai, the ADC’s big debut ended in disappointment, raising questions about its strength ahead of the next general elections.

With APC celebrating victory and ADC struggling to find its footing, Nigerians are left wondering, is 2027 already decided, or is this just the beginning of a long political battle?
