AIR FORCE RAID FREES 62 KIDNAP VICTIMS IN KATSINA…………

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Katsina State Government has confirmed the escape of 62 kidnapped victims after a Nigerian Air Force strike on the camp of a notorious bandit, Muhammadu Fulani, in Jigawa Sawai, Danmusa LGA.

The air raid forced the bandits to flee, giving the captives a chance to break free. Some victims are receiving medical care at Matazu General Hospital, while others are being sheltered at a military base in Kaiga Malamai.

Most of the rescued persons were abducted during a recent night attack on Sayaya village. The government commended the gallantry of security forces and assured that victims will be reunited with their families after proper medical checks.

The Air Force maintains surveillance in the area as calm gradually returns.
