FRSC MOVES TO EASE GIRI GRIDLOCK, URGES PATIENCE……………..

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the FCT has appealed to motorists along the Gwagwalada–Giri highway to remain patient as efforts to clear the heavy traffic continue.

Sector Commander, Mr. Felix Theman, explained that the gridlock followed a minor dispute with truck drivers, now resolved. However, many of the trucks blocking the road could not move this morning due to dead batteries.

To address this, the FRSC assisted by hiring batteries to restart the vehicles and restore traffic flow.

Mr. Theman assured that personnel are on ground to manage traffic, enforce lane discipline, and open up movement on the Gwagwalada–Giri and Gwagwalada–Kuje routes.
