PDP GOVERNOR’S: “WE’RE NIGERIA’S TRUE ALTERNATIVE………..

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum has urged Nigerians to rally behind the party as the credible alternative for national unity, security, and development.

Speaking after the Forum’s 7th meeting in Gusau, Zamfara State, Chairman and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, accused the ruling APC of deepening hardship and division, while assuring that the PDP remains committed to good governance and rebuilding the nation.

He praised the resilience of PDP leaders and supporters, despite defections and what he called intimidation by the APC, insisting the party’s grassroots strength remains intact.

On insecurity, the governors commended Zamfara’s efforts but condemned ongoing killings across states, urging the Federal Government to do more. They also decried alleged irregularities and violence in the August 9 bye-elections, calling on Nigerians to defend their votes.

The Forum reaffirmed its commitment to the party’s November 15 National Convention and thanked Zamfara for hosting, while commiserating with families of late traditional rulers in Zamfara and Oyo States.
