NSCDC SEEKS STRONGER SECURITY SYNERGY TO PROTECT NATIONAL ASSETS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has urged closer collaboration among security agencies to safeguard critical infrastructure.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Gusau, Zamfara Commandant Sani Mustapha said the protection of vital installations cannot be achieved in isolation, stressing the need for joint efforts to curb threats.

Federal Mines Officer Bunoma Samuel also called for tougher action against illegal mining, noting its impact on revenue loss and environmental damage. He commended the cooperation between NSCDC and the Ministry of Solid Minerals, describing it as key to addressing challenges in the sector.

Security agencies present pledged support for the NSCDC, reaffirming that protecting national assets is a shared responsibility.
