PDP CONDEMNS ATTEMPT TO STOP SENATOR AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN’S RESUMPTION

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned moves to stop Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from resuming her duties at the Senate after her six-month suspension.

The PDP accused the Senate leadership under Senator Godswill Akpabio of trying to silence opposition voices and deny the people of Kogi Central proper representation.

It described the action as unconstitutional, undemocratic, and a threat to Nigeria’s stability, while also linking it to alleged harassment and suppression of women in politics.

The party urged Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan to ignore the reported directive and prepare to return to the National Assembly, calling on the Clerk to remain neutral and the international community to condemn the development.
