TROOPS RESCUE 17 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN KOGI

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Troops of the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, working with Hybrid Forces and local vigilantes, have rescued 17 kidnapped passengers in Kogi State.

The victims, including 13 adults and 4 children, were abducted on 10 September 2025 while travelling in a bus from Osun to Abuja. Acting swiftly on intelligence, soldiers trailed the kidnappers to Wuro Village in Adavi LGA. Overpowered by the troops’ firepower, the criminals abandoned the victims and fled with injuries.

All rescued passengers received first aid at the 12 Brigade Medical Centre. The Army reaffirmed its commitment to protect citizens and called for public support with timely information.
