NELFUND URGES INSTITUTIONS TO UPDATE STUDENT RECORDS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has urged all accredited tertiary institutions in Nigeria to update and upload student record, both returning and newly admitted, on the NELFUND Student Verification Portal ahead of the 2025/2026 session.

According to the Fund, this step will ensure a smooth verification and loan application process once the portal opens. Only students whose details are uploaded and verified through their schools will be eligible for the loan.

NELFUND reaffirmed its commitment to working with institutions to expand access to higher education for all qualified Nigerian students.
