Former Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Sule Lamido, has threatened legal action against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if he is denied the nomination form to contest for the position of National Chairman at the party’s upcoming convention in Ibadan.
Lamido, who visited the PDP national secretariat in Abuja to obtain the form, expressed surprise that officials could not confirm the number of forms available. He insisted that the party must uphold internal democracy and its constitutional procedures.
“If I don’t get the form, I’ll go to court. Simple,” he declared.
Lamido also dismissed reports of a northern consensus candidate, saying no consultations were held in his zone. He urged the PDP to remain disciplined and organised to stand a chance in future elections.
