JAMB RELEASES RESULTS OF UNDERAGE CANDIDATES

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of 85 underage candidates who passed its special screening for exceptional admission.

According to JAMB’s Spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, the policy aligns with global best practices, treating such cases as rare exceptions.

In the 2025 UTME, 41,027 candidates applied under the special category, with 599 meeting the 80% score mark. After further checks and interviews, 85 were found qualified and advised to proceed to their respective institutions for admission.

Candidates who missed the final interview for valid reasons can file complaints via the “2025 Underage Complaint” option on the JAMB Support Ticketing System.

Those who scored 320 and above but were disqualified for not uploading O-Level results are given a two-week window to upload and notify the Board.

JAMB reaffirmed its commitment to a credible, transparent, and inclusive admission process, while upholding academic standards across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
