KANO POLICE NAB TWO ARMED ROBBERS, RECOVER STOLEN AIR FORCE OFFICER’S CAR

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered a Ford Escape SUV stolen from an Air Force officer in Abuja.

Acting on credible intelligence, police operatives intercepted the suspects along the Kano-Zaria Expressway after a brief gun duel. The suspects, Adamu Adam Abubakar of Zoo Road, Kano, and Umar Bello of Nasarawa Dirkania, Kaduna, were caught with the stolen vehicle.

Their accomplice, Dan Malam, escaped with a pistol and other stolen items. Police say efforts are ongoing to track him down.

Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori commended officers for their swift response and urged residents to continue sharing information that can help combat crime.
