KEBBI SET TO RECEIVE VICE PRESIDENT SHETTIMA AFTER SCHOOLGIRLS’ KIDNAPPING

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Kebbi State is preparing to receive Vice President Kashim Shettima on the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the abduction of 25 students from Maga Girls Secondary School.

President Tinubu sent the Vice President to comfort the state government and assure parents that the Federal Government is working urgently to rescue the kidnapped schoolgirls.

Governor’s media aide, Malam Yahaya Sarki, confirmed the visit and praised Governor Nasir Idris for acting quickly after intelligence warned of a possible bandit attack.

President Tinubu condemned the security breach and called on communities, especially those in vulnerable areas, to support security agencies with timely information to aid rescue efforts.
