PRESIDENT TINUBU SUSPENDS TRIP FOR SECURITY BRIEFINGS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa and the AU-EU Summit in Angola to receive updated security reports on the kidnapped Kebbi schoolgirls and the attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State.

He has directed the military and police to deploy more officers to Kwara and ordered an immediate manhunt for the attackers. The President is awaiting reports from Vice President Kashim Shettima, the police, and the DSS before making further decisions.

Tinubu reaffirmed his instruction to security agencies to rescue the 24 abducted schoolgirls and ensure their safe return.
