NAIRA FOR CRUDE PROBE: REPS ISSUE 7-DAY ULTIMATUM

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee on the Naira-for-Crude Oil Policy has given all invited agencies seven days until 27 November 2025, to submit requested documents or face sanctions.

Committee Chairman Boniface Emerengwa said the agencies failed to appear or provide documents despite early notice, describing their actions as a disregard for the legislative process and the Nigerian people. He stressed that the delay is hindering proper vetting and slowing the investigation.

Emerengwa warned that any attempt to obstruct the probe will attract firm parliamentary consequences.
