EDO ASSEMBLY SUMMONS FERMA OVER BAD ROADS AHEAD OF FESTIVE SEASON

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to appear before the House on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11 a.m. The move comes after repeated calls for FERMA to inspect and repair federal roads in the state to ensure safer travel during the festive period.

Speaker Blessing Agbebaku stressed that while FERMA is not responsible for full-scale road construction, it must carry out rehabilitation work to ease transportation challenges. He added that the Assembly is committed to protecting the interests of Edo citizens and ensuring smooth mobility across the state.
