RADDA INAUGURATES DAURA WESTERN BYPASS

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Governor Dikko Radda has launched the 14.3km Daura Western Bypass project worth N19bn to ease traffic, boost security, and support economic activities in Daura. He said the road, part of the Urban Renewal project, will be completed within a year.

The Emir of Daura, Alh. Umar Faruk Umar, welcomed the project but expressed concern over the demolition of part of the ancient city wall during a separate federal road construction. Governor Radda promised to address the issue and ensure fair compensation for affected residents.

The governor also flagged off the construction of Kankia township roads to improve movement for residents and traders.
