TROOPS FOIL ROBBERY, RESCUE KIDNAP VICTIMS IN TARABA

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

Troops of 6 Brigade under Operations Peace Shield and Zafin Wuta have foiled a robbery on the Manya–Takum Road, forcing the attackers to flee and recovering an AK-47 and ammunition.

In another mission, soldiers rescued two kidnapped travellers in Amadu after launching a rapid search operation, while efforts continue to find the remaining victims.

Troops also recovered pump-action guns, cartridges, motorcycles, and phones during a separate raid in Ardo Kola, arresting two suspects.

Brig. Gen. Kingsley Uwa praised the troops and assured residents of heightened security across Taraba, especially during the festive season.
