FERMA COMMENCES ROAD REPAIRS IN KEBBI AHEAD OF YULETIDE

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has begun repairing major federal roads in Kebbi ahead of the 2025 festive season under its Operation Connect to Your Destination 3.0. FERMA Engineer-in-Charge, Rilwanu Usman, said the initiative aims to ease travel, reduce accidents, and strengthen road surfaces through pothole patching, asphalt overlays, and rehabilitation of damaged sections.

Usman highlighted recent repairs on the Kalgo-Bunza, Argungu-WACOT, and Bunza-Koko roads, praising government support for the operation. Motorists and transport unions welcomed the repairs, describing the intervention as timely and beneficial, particularly after the damage caused by last year’s heavy rains.
