KWARA GOVT CALLS FOR UNITY, CONDEMNS DIVISION

By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

The Kwara State Government has urged public servants to promote unity and peaceful coexistence, warning against religious intolerance, tribalism and other divisive tendencies.

The call was made in Ilorin by the General Manager of the Kwara State Public Procurement Agency, Raheem Abdulbaqi, during an award ceremony for staff of the agency. He encouraged workers to remain ambassadors of unity, integrity and progress in public service.

Abdulbaqi praised the dedication and professionalism of the agency’s workforce, noting that transparency and accountability in procurement directly impact the quality of projects delivered to the people of Kwara State. He also highlighted integrity as a core value in governance and commended outstanding performance within the agency.

Other speakers at the event applauded the management for fostering fairness and staff motivation, urging workers to respond with renewed commitment and hard work.
