By: Safiya Abdulrahim Dabban

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance, replacing Doris Anite-Uzoka.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said Anite-Uzoka has been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State. The nomination has been forwarded to the Senate through Senate President Godswill Akpabio for confirmation.

Oyedele, an economist and tax expert, previously chaired the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms and had a long career at PwC. He also lectures at Babcock University and is a visiting scholar at the Lagos Business School.
